| Most of the skills I teach can be taught to groups
as well as individuals. I prefer working with small groups to give
everyone the individual attention they need to learn most effectively.
Two or three people working along side each other learn faster and
have a richer experience than a dozen or more, so naturally more
information can be covered with greater depth.
I design programs for as many as twenty people. However, it is important
to realize that it would be more of a showcase demonstration with
a chance to try out some of the skills. A smaller group, on the
other hand, would walk away from the program with crafts, tools,
and solid tips for how to continue their learning on their own.
If you really want to gain skills, I recommend not having more than
seven people in your group.
If
you are just interested in demonstrations and trying out a few skills,
then the groups can be larger. The group experience can vary quite
a bit. Some people invite me to their land to run a customized week
long program for a group of their friends or perhaps a summer camp
for kids from several families. Others call me in just for a day
with their girl scout group or for a program with a nature center
or school.
There are countless options and I am always excited to teach in
new settings and environments. Please contact me for any additional questions regarding your group
or individual needs.
